The Isle of Wight will be leading the way to take the country into the next phase of tackling this pandemic. This is a key part of the government's plans to control coronavirus, ensuring we minimise the spread of the virus and can be used to keep our community as safe as possible.
The new app will let people know quickly if they've come into contact with someone who has reported symptoms of coronavirus. It will also provide advice on the right action to take and how to access a swab test, to stop the virus spreading further.
The NHS COVID-19 app is critical in stopping the spread of the infection and easing the pressure on our NHS. By downloading and using the NHS COVID-19 app, Isle of Wight residents have the opportunity to lead the charge in the national effort.
The app is now available to all Island residents to download, before being rolled out nationwide in a few weeks.
Please play your part in the UK's fight against coronavirus by visiting covid19.nhs.uk on your smartphone to install the app and start using it today.
