Isle of Wight Literary Festival - FRINGE TRAIL - 13th - 15th October 2017
Published 15:56 on 23 Mar 2017
NEW for COWES! Let's get people into the Town, spending money, having fun and all of it in OCTOBER!
The general idea is to come up with a Fringe Fest trail whereby poets, writers, musicians and speakers are showing at a venue in town, at a certain time and tickets can be bought to share the experience with them.
Calling all pubs/shops/cafes/restaurants/libraries/public buildings and bus stops!
We need venues to provide the scene for our Fringe Fest acts. An act could be 20 minutes of poetry, or a 2 hour lecture on history, or an over dinner wine tasting evening! It could be a comedian, a mime artist, a cartoonist, a violin concerto or a group singing sea shanties.
We all need to look for ACTS that would take part in this Fringe Fest, that will compliment the venue.
The Fringe Fest Trail will be publicised alongside the Literary Festival, and a printed guide will be available.
The CBA needs help organising this. If you are interested in providing a venue, know of an act, would like to get involved in the organisation of the event or would like to know more, please contact Kate at Kirby of Cowes (email@example.com)
