Medina Publishing providing Cowes hub for the Wight Mask Ask campaign

Published 16:17 on 15 May 2020

Cowes Business Association member Peter Harrigan of Medina Publishing is putting its bookshop premises at 50 High Street to good use during Covid closure by operating as a Cowes hub to receive and distribute PPE by appointment for supply to domiciliary careworkers and care homes in the Cowes area. The initiative is run by Wight Mask Ask campaign, a charitable group set up under the umbrella of registered charity Embracing Age.

A furloughed member of staff, Katie Pevreall, a resident of Cowes, has volunteered to run the hub by being present for pre-arranged handovers. The distribution on the island is being managed by IOW Care Home Friends via four hubs around the island.
