About the Cowes Business Association
Established in the early 80's Cowes Business Association is run on a non-profit making basis by a committee of business owners and entrepreneurs who understand the ups and downs of life at the coalface and who work with their members towards a shared vision:
"Supporting Cowes Businesses and Promoting Cowes so that it is recognised as a thriving, resilient, dynamic and prosperous place to live, work and visit."
We achieve this by implementing the Cowes Business Association ethos based on three pillars:
Support. Encourage. Promote.
Cowes Business Association is here to support, encourage and promote your business, by way of connecting you with other like-minded business owners through our website, newsletters, full directory, annual exhibition and our lively and successful networking events. Let us help you make the most of this inspiring local business community. We believe that it's in the interests of everyone who lives and works in, or visits, Cowes, that all local businesses thrive.
Improved Business Climate
Cowes Business Association provides a raft of business support, by providing indispensable services to its members which improve the local business climate. Membership encourages business owners to get to know one another in order to find ways to share resources, unite on important issues and develop new tools for securing their profitability in the community and creating an atmosphere that encourages competition and attracts customers. With effective leadership and active participation, Cowes Business Association can make it easier for its members to make money and also enjoy the process.
Networking Opportunities
Cowes Business Association provides its members with opportunities to network and share information and resources. Whilst some members are likely to be competitors, they still share certain needs and preferences. Additionally, Cowes Business Association members can help one another directly with referrals for a plethora of services. Joining Cowes Business Association also provides new businesses with contact information for other local businesses, speeding up the process of integrating into the community.
Social Advantages
For a business owner, the opportunity to integrate with the community provided by membership of Cowes Business Association can be as much of a personal consideration as a business decision. Cowes Business Association holds events for their members and guests giving them the opportunity to meet with their peers and enjoy the company of fellow business owners and entrepreneurs. Participation with Cowes Business Association can also add an important social dimension in a community where small business owners and those who share a business interest know one another through work as well as outside of it.
